Operation Mechanism Dynamics: Upon closing the circuit breaker, the close and open springs store energy. The inside and outside crutch arms counteract a contra-clockwise moment until the opening winding is energized, releasing the lock and enabling a contra-clockwise rotation driven by the open spring. This motion activates the inside crutch arm to open the circuit breaker, with the position securely locked by the keeping engine.
Spring Mechanism Operation: When opening, the close spring stores energy, while the ratchet wheel axis counters the moment from the opening spring contra-clockwise, securely locked by the holding engine. Upon energizing the opening winding, the cam and ratchet wheel linked with locking devices release, driven by the close spring in contra-clockwise motion. This action compresses the open spring to open the circuit breaker. Post-closure, the close spring releases (as illustrated in Figure 1), engaging the pawl axis with the motor via gear. The motor activates immediately, re-storing energy in the open spring.
