The LW Series self-energy SF6 Circuit Breaker is an exceptional three-pole/single-pole AC 50Hz/60Hz outdoor high voltage power transmission marvel. Tailored for managing rated and fault currents or converting lines, it plays a crucial role in the protection, control, and operation of transmission and distribution systems, featuring capabilities for opening, closing, and quick automatic reclosing actions.

Operation Mechanism Upon the circuit breaker closing, both the closing and opening springs store energy. The internal and external crutch arms counterbalance contra-clockwise moments. When the opening winding is charged, the lock disengages, allowing the open spring to drive contra-clockwise rotation, enabling the internal crutch arm to open the circuit breaker. The holding engine locks the moment, maintaining the circuit breaker's open state.
As the spring mechanism initiates opening, the close spring begins storage, with the ratchet wheel axis countering the contra-clockwise moment from the opening spring. This moment is securely locked by the holding and opening engines. Upon energization of the opening winding, the cam and ratchet wheel disengage from the clocking apparatus. Driven by the close spring in a contra-clockwise direction, the cam compresses the open spring to open the breaker. Upon closing completion, the close spring releases, engaging the pawl axis with the motor via gears. The motor promptly activates, recharging the open spring.
